The New Mexico Child Abuse and Neglect Citizen Review Board (CRB) was created by the state legislature to provide independent and objective monitoring of children who are in foster care. Regular meetings are held to review the status of foster children and identify systematic challenges in the foster care system. CRB uses this information to make recommendations to judges, CYFD and families, and the State Legislature with the goal of improving the outcomes of children in foster care.
