Remember Me

This event is designed to put New Mexico's foster children and their needs in the forefront of Legislators minds as they make decisions during the Legislative Session.  On average, six children per day come into state custody in New Mexico.  Just over half of those children will stay in foster care beyond the first ten days of custody.  This event will feature stand-up displays of 180 children, representing the number of foster children who will enter foster care over the course of the Legislative Session and stay long term.  We will also distribute statistical information about the total population of children in New Mexico's foster care system, such as how many foster children need behavioral health services, how many require medical.
